My guess is the Anakin Obi'Wan fight was already too long. So they decided that the emotional fight between the two former friends was more important to focus on. In reality the Anakin Obi'Wan fight was way too longer and they would have probably been wiser to cut it shorter and include this epic fight. But without knowing who this guy is, it makes it a lot less impactful. The Prequel trilogy really should have been 4 movies. At the very least move Phantom Menace into a stand alone movie, then do a Trilogy with Attack of Clones, Clone Wars, and Revenge of the Sith. This would have given them more time to showcase the characters and these epic battles. Anakin could have even fallen to the dark side at the end of Clone Wars, thus giving us a whole movie of the fall of the Jedi. Padme scene's also could have stayed in developing her character and her plot.

Maybe it's just me from those reading this but that scene has always been in one of the versions I have. I was in 7th grade when they first start re releasing the OT in theaters and on video and there were seriously about 5 different versions of each that i don't know are all still even circulating anymore but this was straight click bait for me as i didn't even know that scene wasn't part of the modern canon and was hoping to discover something truly new. 👎👎

Never understood how Luke became more powerful than Vader. In ESB, when Luke leaves Yoda he tells him he is only partially trained and it shows in his fight with Vader as Luke gets his azz kicked. But in ROTJ when Luke returns to Dagobah Yoda tells him that he is a fully trained Jedi and that he only needs to confront Vader to complete his journey. Huh? There is no indication that Luke had been training with Yoda since ESB and at the beginning of ROTJ, it seems they have been searching for Han for the entire time since ESB. But the Luke is suddenly way more powerful than Vader?

Hopefully Disney can figure this out and make a special episode of this with the Anakyn actor doing exactly what happened in the temple or a short miniseries called "Order 66" or something like that and have this be the last episode or something with a few episodes more of the Jedi who survived or some who couldn't survive. I never thought about it, but now I see potential.

This movie trilogy is so much better than what they give us today... 😢

Still wondering why they haven’t developed a live action series following Vader in his early days. Especially as Filoni helms alot of power in creative choices now and we’re getting live action shows to flesh out the universe. Bringing Hayden in and doing Vader but his early days and seeking remaining Jedi would be a massive hit. I’d be tuned in weekly for that show and easily that can span multiple seasons as there is so much story telling that can be told. It can even tie into Rebels and maybe even show some Easter eggs that’ll be in the OT but give some backstory. Death Star development, Sidious developing the clones or laying the groundwork that’ll come to fruition in the sequels and Mandalorian. There’s so much potential there.

In a lot of ways, not knowing what the Sith was and using your imagination was way better than later explanations.

i always just assumed that the green crystal matched his connection with the force , the blue saber simply was not his so was not his choice, it really didnt need so much overthinking

the green saber and his whole outfit in rotj was just more powerful looking, for some reason blue seemed more "pure" but green came across as "polished" ... and in no other sw film did they match his outfit, i realize the prequels were more a time of monk like jedi, but i just got sick of always seeing them dressed for bed instead of battle
